Tokyo, Japan – October 24, 2024 – PST Medical Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya, Tokyo; CEO: Ryosuke Dokan), a subsidiary of PST Inc. (Headquarters: Yokohama, Kanagawa; CEO: Hiroshi Otsuka) is pleased to announce that we have been selected as one of the three supported companies for the 2024 Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s Advanced Medical Devices Acceleration Project (AMDAP [*1]). Our business plan focuses on the development and commercialization of a supporting tool for assessing the severity of depression using Vocal Biomarker Technology.

The selection allows us to receive intensive support for refining our business plan for three years. The support will include a guidance and advice for product development and commercialization etc. from dedicated Catalyzer [*2] in collaboration with a wide range of experts with advanced and specialized knowledge in the medical device industry, covering specialities such as clinical development, regulatory affairs, insurance reimbursement, engineering, intellectual property and business, etc. Additionally, based on the evaluations which will be scheduled in the next fiscal year, one project may be qualified for further support through subsidies if it achieves a certain level of assessment.

With the support of this project, we would like to drive R&D activities, and further contribute to the medical and welfare fields by launching Vocal Biomarkers.
